What the Laberic website stores in your browser and why.
Public pages
The public website, help pages and public book descriptions work without JavaScript and without a login session. Visiting these pages does not itself set application session cookies. Server access logs are separate from cookies.
The optional audio example on the homepage uses JavaScript. Changing its languages saves that choice locally in your browser. When you choose a book or upload before signing in, the application also saves the destination locally and uses it for up to one hour to return you there after login or email verification. These features do not add advertising or audience tracking.
Login and security cookies
The application uses interline_session for its login session and XSRF-TOKEN to protect actions against cross-site request forgery. The configured cookie lifetime is 30 days and can be renewed by activity. An authenticated session expires after 30 days of inactivity or 90 days from sign-in, or sooner after revocation or a password change. The login session cookie is Secure and HttpOnly; XSRF-TOKEN must be readable by the application.
Local storage
Browser local storage keeps choices such as interface language, theme, reading layout, text size, selected book mode, and reading or listening progress awaiting synchronization. Entries do not have a universal automatic expiry. Some account-specific entries are cleared on sign-out; other preferences remain until replaced or you clear website data.
Tab storage
Session storage holds temporary preparation request identifiers and a reading-device identifier, helping avoid duplicate actions and synchronize progress. It usually lasts for the tab’s browsing session; browser session restoration can preserve it.
Analytics and advertising
The current web version does not include advertising cookies or third-party audience analytics. Storage is used for authentication, security and the reading, listening and preference functions you request. Optional tracking will require a separate review and appropriate controls before introduction.
Your controls
You can delete cookies and website storage in your browser settings. This may sign you out and remove local settings or progress that has not reached the server. Clearing browser data does not delete your server account or uploaded files. Ask us if you want those removed.
