How we handle your data
Current information about personal data in the Laberic web beta.
Scope and operator
This notice concerns the Laberic website. Its operator is Gendik Ruslan, an individual. Contact address: 28 Thạch Lam, An Hải, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng 550000, Vietnam. For privacy requests, use [email protected].
Account and activity
We store your email, account name, a protected password hash, verification status, language and display settings, reading and listening positions, and records of preparation requests and allowance usage. Registration does not collect card details or create a subscription. We also record the accepted terms version, document language and acceptance time.
Books and processing
If you upload a book, we store the source file, extracted text and generated results. Personal uploads are not automatically published in the public catalog. Authorized administrators can access information needed to operate the service, investigate problems and handle your requests.
Service providers
Beget provides the current application hosting and separate book-file storage. Google services handle outgoing account email. Depending on the requested operation and selected voice, text passages may be sent to Google Cloud, OpenAI or ElevenLabs for preparation, translation or speech generation. Reading or playing existing results does not start new translation or speech generation. During import, if the relevant functions are enabled, book metadata and text excerpts may also be sent to OpenAI to identify chapter boundaries and generate a cover. This can happen after upload, before a separate translation or narration request.
Hosting details still being verified
The countries of the current hosting and file storage, and the hosting backup retention period, have not yet been confirmed. A planned move to Europe or the United States is not a statement about current storage. This notice will be supplemented once those facts have been verified.
Security and browser storage
Requests can leave technical records such as IP address, browser information, request time, URL and error information. The application uses login and security cookies and browser storage for requested settings and progress. The public information pages do not require a login or set session cookies.
Removing a book
Removing a book hides it from your library and requests cancellation of processing. You can restore it for seven days. The end of that window is not automatic permanent erasure: files, processing records and backups may still exist. Ask us separately for permanent deletion.
Account and data requests
Email us from your account address to request access, correction, account closure or deletion of associated data. Describe what you want removed; do not send your password or identity documents with the initial request. We may ask for proportionate verification. There is currently no self-service account deletion button.
Retention
Account data and saved materials remain while needed to provide the account and requested functions, subject to deletion requests. The current beta does not have a complete automatic deletion schedule for all data categories. Some records may need to be retained for security, disputes or legal obligations; we will explain applicable limits when handling a request. Backup deletion timing is still being verified.

Updated 25 September 2026. This is a factual notice of the current beta; the complete privacy policy is being prepared. We do not claim that this notice alone resolves all applicable legal requirements.
